Erin Aguirre, Front Office Manager of Hotel Rock Lititz
“No sleep till Lititz”, well hopefully some sleep but it's ensured you’ll get some at the Rock Lititz Hotel. Erin Aguirre, front office manager of the hotel, knows all about creating a roadie oasis. From being with the Rock Lititz Hotel since it was rubble, Erin has seen the ins and outs of being a place of one of the most essential crew needs, sleep. Combing two of her interests and experiences, she expresses passion and love for her work place and other’s temporary home. Erin has always had skills and strengths in customer service and got her start in the Hotel world at the Lancaster Arts Hotel, a boutique hotel located in downtown Lancaster, which has seen some of our campus clients. Through that role she learned some of the unique elements of lodging for crews and those within the live event industry. While being exposed to entertainment and production professionals through that role, she was no stranger to them as she has been involved in the music scene for years. Along with being a music and concert enjoyer, she previously has worked for a past local venue called the Chameleon Club. For years she would work and fill in wherever they needed from running, being the merch girl, taking tickets, or just making sure simple parts of the venue were functioning. When given the opportunity to combine these two experiences and familiar worlds she took the job and doesn’t see herself moving on anytime soon.
Crews are no stranger to a hotel, which made curating one for them an ongoing process. Being on alive event campus they had a head start in creating a space where roadies and non-alike could come relax and enjoy, but suggestions are always encouraged. Through feedback Erin has implemented changes such as later kitchen hours, extended use of hotel amenities, and special requests. The hotel also has different processes from other hotels including the crew check in process and90 day out booking for the public, ensuring that crews passing through and companies in our community get top priority. Erin loves it when the hotel happens to be full of clients, creating a homey atmosphere and watching friends from different tours reconnect. Erin describes the hotel’s culture as similar to other places in the industry and employees and clients alike having common industry understanding.
Since joining the hotel Erin has also been a part of Rock Lititz Community, including the ambassador program, being able to have a direct hand in campus events and culture. She is a large proponent of ensuring that every employee no matter the role has knowledge and takes advantage of Rock Lititz Community and the benefits they offer. The hotel and their restaurant Pier Diem host monthly happy hours for the community or clients passing through, which is not one to miss. Erin and Hotel Rock Lititz have grown and continue to be an important and necessary part of the ecosystem that exists withing our campus and this industry.
“One of my favorite things is when we have two big arrivals on the same day and everybody’s in the lobby happy to see each other. You can feel how the morale is boosted, its like a little party. It sounds cheesy but it's like a family oriented thing which is really cool.”

“I’m a big proponent of encouraging everyone to attend the Rock Lititz Community events. Whenever I go I always meet someone knew, or am able to connect deeper with people I may have only emailed with. Even through I’ve been on this campus for a bit there are so many people, from the makers market to the Halloween events I enjoy connecting with new faces on campus."
