Frazer Gall, Professor at the Academy of Live Technology with PCAD at Rock Lititz
The Academy of Live Technology on Rock Lititz campus is getting in touch with their UK roots and welcoming Frazer Gall, a former teacher at the UK campus to Lititz.
Frazer started his career in York, England, UK gigging and working events in 2002, which coincidentally is the year that some of his students were born. Frazer has always loved music, and when he realized this was something he could turn into a career he started his journey. After starting off gigging, he transitioned to corporate shows and events, which lead into project management. Leading 360 teams and doing logistics lead him to have a greater understanding of all of the meticulous operations that go into organizing tours. In 2017 he was asked to become a teacher at the Academy of Live Technology in the UK, and has been enjoying teaching the next generation of professionals ever since.
Through education he can bring not only his international insight, but experience through a multitude of roles and logistical perspective. Being able to tie the bridge between shows in Europe and the UK with US, especially highlighting the barriers between language and location. As global touring increases, the familiarity with the industry in different regions is a valuable lesson students will be able to learn. Frazer will be teaching classes in Sound 1, 2, & 3 as well as introduction to LiveX this upcoming fall. He is anticipating meeting all of the students and being able to learn for them as well, he considers his students to be apart of his industry network as well.
Frazer came from a campus that was similar in nature to Rock Lititz, which helped make the leap more of a jump. Despite not having much time on campus prior to his decision, those few moments counted greatly towards his choice. He attended the annual industry conference that Rock Lititz holds called THE Conference: Live at Lititz in 2024. While on campus he met key people in our community such as Rock Lititz CEO Andrea Shirk and Shaun Clair, as well as other welcoming faces. This was the first industry conference he attended that was specifically people orientated and focused on cultivating industry conversations and workforce development, not just a tradeshow. He felt how community was at the core of Rock Lititz and wanted to be a part of it. Rock Lititz is more than happy to welcome Frazer onto our campus and anticipates the positive contribution he will make in the Academy of Live Technology.
"The conference was my first real experience of Lititz, and it honestly opened my eyes. Coming from Production Park in the UK, I had a sense of what Rock Lititz was about, but being here in person showed me how tightknit and people focused the community really is. Everyone’s so willing to give their time and share their expertise with each other and the next generation. What stood out was how different this conference felt compared to the usual tradeshows. It wasn’t just about gear or tech, it was about people, and how we support the workforce. That shift in focus really hit home for me. Meeting Andrea, Suzi, Shaun Clair, and the whole team made me realize this is where I want to be. That’s why I moved my life over here, it was definitly people based."
